Introduction: The University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) requests a written response to Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM250091 from from qualified individuals or consultant firms for the provision of construction testing and inspection services in support of the San Benito Student Housing project.  

Construction Testing and Inspection is to be performed as directed by the University’s Representative and in coordination with the construction contract schedule. The construction contract schedule may include both day and night time construction activities. Inspections will be required during both periods throughout construction. Responsibilities and services may include but are not limited to: Soils Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Soil Investigation, Foundation Investigation, Various Sampling, Aggregate, Concrete, Concrete & Masonry Coring, Masonry Block & Veneered Block, Steel, Fireproofing, Welding Inspections and required Certifications, Piping Inspections and required Certifications.

Estimated Construction Cost: The overall construction cost estimate is in the range of $600,000,000.
