Introduction: The University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) requests a written response to Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM250163 from from qualified individuals or consultant firms for the provision of construction testing and inspection services in support of the Student Affairs and Administrative Services Building ("SAASB") Water Intrusion Assessment project.
Project Description: Statements of Qualification submittals are hereby solicited by the University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) from consultant firms with relevant experience and expertise in providing the required services. The selected consultant will provide the services associated with the Student Affairs and Administrative Services Building ("SAASB") Water Intrusion Assessment project (“Project”), as more fully described in Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM250163. The Project includes a thorough assessment and evaluation of SAASB Building 8568 - a 95,000 gsf steel frame building with a CMU masonry veneer, located in the northern area of the University. The Project includes assessment services only. Consultant shall provide an assessment for waterproofing issues including recommendations, proposed schedule(s) for the work, and cost estimates. In addition, Consultant will provide a detailed report describing destructive selective demolition and material testing details and outcomes, recommended repair details and products for the entire SAASB facility including masonry veneer and wall anchors, joints/sealants, planters, plaster soffits, glass block and nonstructural failing hazards.
