NOTE: A prospective consultant must be registered and logged into the planroom to submit its SOQ electronically via the ‘Submit Bid’ tab above AND that SOQ must be submitted prior to the stated deadline.

Introduction: Statements of Qualifications submittals are hereby solicited by the University of California, Santa Barbara (“University”) from design professionals and firms with relevant experience and expertise in providing the services described herein.  The selected consultant will provide design services associated with the Baseball & Softball Facilities Master Plan Project (the “Project”), as more fully described in this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) No. FM250315. The Project includes planning for Caesar Uyesaka Stadium and the Campus Diamond on the Main Campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara.  The Intercollegiate Athletics Department wants to prepare a Master Plan that assesses the condition of its current facilities and programming needs and develops a comprehensive program of improvements that serve the baseball and softball programs.

Scope of Services: Stage 1 of the Project includes an evaluation of existing facilities and programming needs, preparation of conceptual plans for improvements in the Master Plan area, cost estimates and a phasing plan. Services include, but are not limited to the following:

·         Assessment of all program needs, based on observation of the existing facilities and consultation with stakeholders.

·         Conceptual blocking plans or diagrams for potential capital improvement projects to satisfy program needs

·         Cost estimates for individual project elements

·         Establish priorities and phasing options to serve as basis for fundraising efforts

·         Propose a Phase 1 of improvements for a recent donor gift

·         Fundraising collateral

The scope of professional services will result in preparation of a Master Plan under the University’s standard form Professional Services Agreement (See Exhibit B).  Stage 2 services, if awarded, are described in the RFQ Documents. While it is anticipated that funding will be obtained, there is no assurance that funds will be received for the project noted. Selection of the design professional will follow standard University procedures.

Equal Opportunity Statement: Each candidate firm will be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons shall have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University, regardless of: race; color; religion; sex; age; ancestry; national origin; sexual orientation; physical or mental disability; veteran's status; medical condition; genetic information; marital status; gender identity; pregnancy; service in the uniformed services; or citizenship within the limits imposed by law or University's policy.
